ODA

ODA is a New York based architecture and design firm. Since ODA’s inception in 2007, it has emerged as one of the most recognised design firms of its generation, establishing a reputation for delivering imaginative and mould-breaking designs.

Seeking to reorder architectural priorities by putting people first, ODA challenges conventional perspectives of dwelling that will, over time, influence life in our cities. ODA seek to reconcile the conditions of urban living with the qualities which benefit and nurture us as human beings: the desire for protected shelter; observing wide perspectives; the seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces; and the general improvement of life through good design.

Urban

URBAN is a London based group of landscape architects and urbanists focussed on public realm and landscape in urban environments at all project scales. Their dynamic, talented, and international team share the values and ambitions of making cities and places that people love.

The Landscape at Long & Waterson was envisaged as a sanctuary within the vibrant heart of Shoreditch. The design concept was to create a calm retreat; a green oasis within this edgy and gritty location. Shoreditch is a place of strong contrasts, and this contextual graphic is expressed in the design: black/white, rough/smooth, industrial/natural, red/green, hard/soft, light/dark.
